Bellevue used to be known as a bedroom community of Seattle, but it has grown over the last few decades to be an economic force in itself with its own culture and community. It has been named by CNNMoney the best place to live and launch a business.
Large businesses such as T-Mobile are headquartered in Bellevue. The area can hold large conferences and meetings at such locations as Meydenbauer Center. Shopping can be found at Bellevue Square, Factoria Mall, Crossroads Mall, and the Overlake Shopping District. Artist appreciators near and far flock to the annual Bellevue Arts and Crafts fair.
With light rail spanning Lake Washington in the coming years, Bellevue is expected to evolve once again.
Parks
The Downtown Park is the first one that usually comes to mind, but Bellevue is actually home to over 2,500 acres of parks and spaces as well as over 80 miles of trails.
